Terms of use

Last updated 18 August 2026. These are the rules for using Armbar, run by [Your name or company name]. Using the service means agreeing to them.

What Armbar is

A shared record of grappling rounds for one gym. You log a round, the person you rolled with confirms it, and it counts toward a monthly leaderboard. Nothing counts until both of you agree it happened.

It is a record, not an authority. Ratings are arithmetic applied to what members reported. They are not a belt rank, not a qualification, and not evidence of anything outside your gym.

Your account

• You need a join code from your gym. There is no public sign-up, by design.
• Keep your password to yourself. Everything done from your account is treated as done by you, which is what makes confirmations meaningful.
• One account per person. Do not create an account for anyone else.
• You must be 16 or older, or the minimum digital-consent age where you live, whichever is higher.

Recording rounds honestly

The whole service rests on one thing: people log what actually happened, including the rounds they lost. Deliberately entering false scores, colluding to inflate a rating, or logging rounds that did not take place is a misuse of the service, and your gym's owner can remove you for it.

Gym owners can see an anomaly report that flags unusual patterns. It is a prompt to have a conversation, not a verdict.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of your photographs. You give us permission to store and display them inside Armbar so the app can show them to your gym — nothing more, and it ends when you delete them or close your account.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content. Do not upload anything that is:

• sexual, violent beyond the ordinary depiction of the sport, or hateful;
• a photograph of someone who has not agreed to appear in it, especially a child;
• somebody else's work that you have no right to use;
• abusive, harassing, or intended to humiliate another member.

Report anything that breaks this to caydenchern@gmail.com. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and content that breaks these terms is removed. Accounts that post it are closed.

Treating people decently

A gym is a room full of people who have to train together tomorrow. Do not use the record to harass, mock or pressure anyone, and do not share another member's photographs or results outside the gym without asking them.

Training is your own risk

Armbar records grappling; it does not supervise, coach or vet anybody. Whether to train, with whom, and how hard, is a decision between you, your training partner and your gym. We are not responsible for injuries, and nothing in the app is medical or coaching advice.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of faults, and we do not guarantee that recorded results are accurate — they are entered by members, and their accuracy is a matter of trust between them.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Your identifying details are erased; rounds you already fought stay on the record under “Former member”, because they are part of your opponents' history as well as yours. The privacy notice explains this in full.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. A gym owner can remove a member from their gym; that member keeps their account and can join another gym.

Changes and law

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and we will tell you in the app first. These terms are governed by the law of [Your country].
